The TeleMed2U leadership team is comprised of both clinical and non-clinical experienced professionals, from the field of healthcare and technology.
TeleMed2U was founded with the mission to increase access to quality specialist care. What started initially from our passion to serve our underserved and underprivileged communities, has now grown into a thriving telemedicine practice serving patients, clinics, hospitals and health plans of every kind and type. Our Chief Medical Officer and co-founder, Dr. Javeed Siddiqui, holds nearly two decades of acclaimed telemedicine experience. Prior to TeleMed2U, Dr. Siddiqui co-developed and directed a leading university-based telemedicine program that garnered national recognition for its prominence in the field. Together with dedicated clinical, administrative, and technical personnel, the team is proud to have grown TeleMed2U into one of the most prominent telemedicine practices in the Western United States.
AJ has more than 20 years of experience leading Healthcare Operations in the drugstore and specialty pharmacy environment. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of TeleMed2U where he leads the company’s Sales & Operations, Recruiting, Legal and Credentialing/Contracting teams. He collaborates closely with the Advisory Board on the development of clinical programs and future strategy to enhance convenient access to specialty medical care in various markets across the country.
Dr. Siddiqui co-founded TeleMed2U, where he serves as the Chief Medical Officer, and is the primary developer of clinical programs and strategy. He directs TeleMed2U’s extensive group of multi-specialty medical providers, and is instrumental in managing the operational and business development aspects of the practice. Dr. Siddiqui also practices inpatient and outpatient telemedicine as an Infectious Disease physician member of the group.
Divyansu Patel, MD is an Adult and Child & Adolescent board certified psychiatrist. He serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Behavioral Health, in which he oversees Behavioral Health Programs for Telemed2u. Dr. Patel was a co-founder of Biobehavioral Research of Austin in which he is principal Investigator for multiple clinical trial in different disease states in psychiatry. Dr. Patel provides asynchronous and synchronous treatment in outpatient clinic in Austin, TX.
Dr. Sweet is a native Texan and attended The University ofTexas at Austin for undergraduate studies. He earned his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees at the University of Illinois and then did residency training at the prestigiousJohns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Sweet came back to Austin, TX for specialized training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and has been in practice since2009. Dr. Sweet believes strongly in working with, and trainingPhysician Assistants to treat the behavioral health needs of adults, children and adolescents.
Jodi Nagelberg, MD, MHA is a board-certified physician and serves as the Director of Endocrinology at TeleMed2U. She oversees the development of clinical programs in Endocrinology and supports technology advancement to enhance patient care. Dr. Nagelberg also practices as an Endocrinology physician providing synchronous quality telemedicine care to patients and asynchronous services to providers.
Megan has 8 years of experience managing quality, compliance and operations with a national health system. At TeleMed2U, Megan is responsible for leading the operations of a rapidly growing digital health platform that delivers telemedicine services to patients and clients and leads day to day operations of the Recruiting, Credentialing, Physician Relations, Clinical Operations, and Revenue Cycle teams. She is instrumental in building and scaling the organization to expand access to quality and convenient services for patients in a variety of communities across the country.
Chris travels throughout TeleMed2U’s vast service area developing new inpatient and outpatient business opportunities and expanding services lines within the company’s existing hospitals and clinics. He is instrumental in providing customer service in the field, and gathering market intelligence which translates into service delivery strategies for the practice.
Alexis is responsible for overseeing inpatient and outpatient clinical operations. Alexis trains and supervises the team of coordinators who perform TeleMed2U’s patient scheduling and daily clinic implementation. She is responsible for physician onboarding, training, and coordinating physician schedules and clinic calendars, managing a vast number of moving elements for Inpatient and outpatient care. She liaisons physician and client communication for synchronous and asynchronous service delivery, and ensures optimal, on-going connectivity of all telemedicine equipment and peripherals.
Shilpa trains and supervises the team of coordinators who perform TeleMed2U’s patient scheduling and daily clinic implementation. Her responsibilities include deployment and oversight of clinic workflow, implementation of new client services, and administration of clinic calendars. Shilpa has a special talent for business analytics and is responsible for the production of reports pertaining to utilization, revenue, and other statistical metrics.
Stacy is responsible for seeking, qualifying and attracting physician providers in various medical specialties to fill TeleMed2U’s service openings in multiple states. Her position involves all aspects of the recruitment process, including responsibility for contracting providers that are clinically competent and who possess personal attributes reflective of TeleMed2U’s vision and values.
Maritza has more than 23 years of experience in credentialing. She coordinates all phases of credentialing for TeleMed2U’s contracted providers with health plans, hospital medical staffs and payer enrollment. She has oversight of managing all providers’ expiring credentials monthly, monitoring sanctions and discipline, and compliance of state licensing, medical malpractice requirements, and credentialing legal and regulatory mandates. Maritza has been a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist since 2000.
Nikhil brings over 15 years of experience from enterprise software and management consulting, holding various leadership roles for large global consulting companies including IBM, Fujitsu, KPIT and Birlasoft. Nikhil serves as the Head of Technology at TeleMed2U and is responsible for driving TeleMed2U’s innovative technology offerings to improve patient care and for developing strategies to bridge the gap between traditional and next generation telehealth products.
Jessica has worked with Dr. Sweet and Dr. Patel since 2009 and has over 20 years of experience in the medical field. As the Director of Clinic Operations, she coordinates with all departments and staff to ensure that operations run smoothly. Her dedication to Specialty Clinic, a TeleMed2U Company, and its patients has allowed us to continue to provide much needed behavioral health services in Texas and beyond. Jessica has been integral to the success of Specialty Clinic and she works hard every day to build on that success.
Candice Peel joinedBioBehavioral Research in 2020 bringing a wealth of clinical research experience and knowledge to our company. She has over 12 years of experience in the medical field with 6 of those years in Clinical Research as a Director, and Clinical Research Coordinator.
Candice is certified in many different areas in the healthcare field which include Certified ClinicalResearch Coordinator and Project Management through the Association of ClinicalResearch Professionals. She is also a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Phlebotomist, and Non-Certified Radiology Technician. She currently has over 60 hours of nursing credits and is completing her Bachelor of Science.
At her previous appointments, she has managed over 50+ clinical trials which include areas in Cardiovascular, Dermatology, Depression, Device, Endocrinology, Gastrointestinal, Hematology, Infection, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, Surgery, Weight loss, and Women’s Health. She has also managed and oversaw research operations at multiple research facilities across several States in theUS.
Candice has had many roles in her career and has found that research is her passion. She has contributed to the success of multiple sites with the inception, overall growth, and standards needed to conduct a successful research site with her leadership.
Greg Buchert, MD, MPH recently retired as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Shield of California’s Promise Health Plan that serves 500,000 members in Medi-Cal, Medicare and Dual Eligible programs in California. He formerly worked with Centene as the Chief Executive Officer that launched the company’s first Medicaid Managed Care Plan in California and later as Chief Medical Officer of HealthNet. His previous positions include work as a Principal Consultant with Health Management Associates, a national healthcare consulting firm, and as the Chief Operating Officer and Medical Director for CalOptima, a public managed care company for which he was a founding executive. Greg started his career as a Pediatric Emergency Physician serving in leadership positions at two children’s hospitals and as administrative director of a medical group.
Dr. Steven Schorer serves on the Advisory Board of TeleMed2U. He works closely with leadership to advise of the current and future strategy of the company. Dr. Schorer received his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from the University of California, Davis and his medical degree from Chicago Medical School. He trained in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, eventually completely his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago. He has worked as an emergency physician throughout the California, primarily in Sacramento, since 1994, and has served on the medical faculty at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. Dr. Schorer received his MBA from CSU Sacramento. Steve also has extensive experience as a healthcare consultant to the pharmaceutical and medical staffing industries.
Raj Chudasama serves on the TeleMed2U Advisory Board and provides strategic advice on key IT infrastructure and system development initiatives. Raj has more than 20 years of experience in building and deploying innovative products and e-commerce platforms, driving digital transformation to improve customer experiences and to accelerate company growth. Raj currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at QuoteCenter, the fastest growing Home Depot company, where he is responsible for company-wide technology strategy, architecture, e-commerce platforms, data, and engineering practices. Previously, Raj successfully led the Digital transformation of both Home Depot’s B2C and B2B e-commerce platforms. Raj is also pursuing his MBA at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
Sasha Vrajich is proud to support Telemed2U's strategy as an advisory board member. Sasha has more than 25 years of experience in the IT field leading transformational projects across various industries including telecom, healthcare, energy, and financial services. Currently Sasha is responsible for leading outcome based technology solutions for TEKsystems Global Services, specializing in IT outsourcing and digital transformation. His previous roles helped to impact efficiency and profitability for various global organizations including EMC, DXC, Capgemini, and CGI. In addition to holding several technology patents, Sasha studied Computer Science at The University of Texas in Austin and holds various industry accreditations from Microsoft, Amazon, ServiceNow, and PMI.
