Company Demonstrates 12 Months of Clinical Success Leveraging Its Virtual Specialty Care Capabilities to Improve Chronic Condition Management
Roseville, CA- January 21,2026- -TeleMed2U, a leading tele-specialty care company focused on leveraging technology and end-to-end patient services to deliver high-quality affordable care, is celebrating another year of delivering on its mission of increasing access to timely, affordable, quality care.
Over the past 12 months, the company’s clinical offering—which is aimed at improving how patients are able to manage their complex chronic conditions virtually—has grown exponentially. Key milestones include:
- Growing its overall specialty provider network (cardiology, endocrinology, behavioral health, infectious diseases, etc.) network by 40% year over year, while increasing clinical encounters by ~38% vs 2024 numbers.
- Elevating the organization’s quality metrics and reporting infrastructure to enable more value-based contracting arrangements.
- Expanding TeleMed2U’s bench of behavioral health providers while significantly growing the organizations’ nurse practitioner/physician assistant team; in addition, the company implemented a new clinical education program for its behavioral health providers, establishing and integrating multiple clinical care standards.
- Increasing its team of endocrinology providers while implementing a “pod” care model in support of continuity of care; the framework leverages a multidisciplinary team consisting of a physician, advanced practice clinician, clinical pharmacist, and certified diabetes educator—supported by a medical assistant—to deliver comprehensive, coordinated diabetes care and education.
- Extending its cardiology offering via the development of advanced screening products and early-risk detection workflows.
In 2025, TeleMed2U also continued to expand its strategic partnerships. Notable customer initiatives over the past 12 months included but are not limited to:
- A large California managed care plan with over 1.2 million members, partnering with TeleMed2U across 20 medical and behavioral health specialties to strengthen chronic disease management, care coordination, and continuity of specialty care.
- An innovative Medicare Advantage Plan, looking to improve STAR scores by providing increased access to specialty care across the eight states they serve.
- Expansion with various health system clients to offer inpatient infectious disease services to additional hospitals in California.
Doubling Down on Growth Initiatives
In support of TeleMed2U’s aggressive expansion goals in 2025, the company also made a number of strategic hires, reinforcing its commitment to scaling the reach of its virtual specialty care delivery model. Notably in late September of last year, the company announced the appointment of Laura Dettmann as Chief Revenue Officer where she is responsible for driving TeleMed2U’s growth strategy, which includes a more specific focus on health plans and their population health and chronic condition management initiatives. In addition, the organization welcomed Alexandra Weinstein as Chief Financial Officer in April.
Reinforcing a Commitment to Elevating the Screening, Detection, and Management of Cardiac Conditions
In May of 2025, TeleMed2U announced the acquisition of SIGMA Tactical Wellness, the nationally recognized company dedicated to reducing cardiovascular risk in the public safety sector. Over the past seven months, TeleMed2U has worked to incorporate SIGMA’s advanced cardiac risk screening capabilities in order to expand its virtual condition detection and treatment capabilities for this high-risk and often overlooked patient population. The deal marked a major step forward in the organization’s evolution towards delivering whole-person care to those who need it most.
Building Off TeleMed2U’s Clinical Success Elevating How Complex Chronic Conditions are Managed
“2025 has been another amazing year for TeleMed2U, not only in terms of growth, but also in the tangible and measurable way that we have been able to truly impact the lives of so many individuals managing complex chronic conditions, connecting them to high-quality care that might otherwise not have been possible,” AJ Patel, CEO of TeleMed2U, said. “In urban and rural areas alike, and in states across the nation, the lack of specialists is impacting how health plan members are accessing, in many instances, not accessing care. They are also influencing how quickly, and ultimately, how successful they are when it comes to keeping their diseases like diabetes and Crohn’s under control over time. As we enter the new year, we are grateful for the expansive traction we have gained in the specialty telemedicine space. We are also thankful for the new opportunities that have presented themselves, allowing us to connect even more members to the clinical resources they deserve, regardless of geographic location.”
