Biography

Sheila is a board-certified adult and gerontology nurse  practitioner (NP) specializing in rheumatology with over 10 years  of experience treating patients with chronic conditions. Sheila  completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s  University with honors and graduated summa cum laude with her  master’s in science.  She is passionate about providing high-quality, collaborative care to her patients and uses patient-centered practice style.

Prior to becoming an NP, Sheila was a registered nurse in a cardiac and lung surgery unit at Baylor University Medical Center in Texas. Her dedication to the field extends to education, having created accredited programs for rheumatology nurses and served as an adjunct professor at her alma mater Texas Woman's University  In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, teaching her dog new  tricks, and practicing yoga and meditation.
