What are Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors?

Are Orthopedic tumors common?

Benign tumors are relatively common; malignant bone tumors are rare but require specialized treatment.

Causes

The exact cause of many orthopedic tumors is unknown, but risk factors include:

  • Genetic mutations
  • Prior radiation exposure
  • Certain inherited conditions
