Patient Testimonials

I never thought I would need to see an infectious disease doctor in my life. When the COVID pandemic hit, I was nervous about the whole situation and had concerns about possible exposure. I found TeleMed2U and was immediately connected to Dr. Siddique who I saw on a video call. I was glad to know he specialized only in infectious diseases. He walked me through an assessment and calmed my nerves about going out
to get a test. I highly recommend Dr. Siddique their service.

My entire experience with TeleMed2U was so fast and simple. I had been experiencing a skin rash on my forearm that would not go away for weeks. It was going to be a 2 weeks before the dermatologist could see me after my doctor referral !! I found Telemed2u was able to book a same day appointment with their dermatologist the next day online from home. Ended up being mild eczema. I appreciate having found you guys!

I was feeling overwhelmed with working from home and home schooling the kids at the same time and causing me a lot of stress and anxiety. I love my primary care doctor but this is not something she could see me for. I kept calling around mental health practices and they were either booked out for 3 weeks or not accepting new patients. When I found your group, Dr. Patel saw me the next day and spent a generous amount of time giving me strategies to cope. I am now seeing one of their therapists which has been a huge help!

About Depression

How is depression diagnosed?

Depression is diagnosed by a clinical interview, administered by a mental health professional. This clinician will ask questions about the client’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, inviting them to talk about the symptoms they are experiencing. These symptoms will be compared to criteria in the DSM-5 to determine if the client is experiencing a depressive disorder.

How is depression treated?

Treatments for depression typically include medication, psychotherap0y, or a combination of both. Medications are intended to treat symptoms thought to be associated with imbalances in brain circuits that regulate mood. Psychotherapy helps a client overcome their negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors by creating a treatment plan that returns them to normal activities and generates a more positive self-dialogue. Best practices often indicate that combination therapy of medication and psychotherapy can be the most efficacious treatment. TeleMed2U offers a convenient service for the diagnosis and treatment of depression at an affordable price of $99/month.
