Biography

Prakrut Patel, MD is board-certified in interventional cardiologist with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Patel received his medical training at Gujarat University in Ahmadabad, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Coney Island Hospital in New York and fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at Maimonides Medical Center in New York, where he was chief cardiology fellow. He is also certified in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography and in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Patel is fluent in English and Hini, and outside of work, he enjoys tennis and basketball. Inspired by his grandfather who also was a physician, Dr. Patel strives to build long-term relationships with his patients that are based on collective decision-making.
